Monday

During breakfast, JH ate a hot pepper. Not visibly distinct from the cooler peppers she covered her mouth and said, " I am very lucky."

Y arrived and drove us there. He introduced himself to Joyce.

Carried bags of top soil to the trees. We had to fill the bags of soil and move lift them onto  the truck.

Lifting the bags Hang remarked to me: "You are getting stronger."

During a break Y talked about the soil.

"The soil is created for three years using from the animal"

We broke for lunch.  Joyce and I cooked. We made lunch. I added salt to pomal miyook guk that JH made for breakfast. We also made chicken which was a highlight.

Y, tried the soup. "This is delicious," he said.

We were eating when somehow ate a hot pepper.

"You are very lucky, " I said.

Y started to put water in his bowl and clean his plate.

Joyce didn't eat much.

"Joyce why don't you eat."

I am not used to this food."

"I don't feel very good," she said.

Yang looked down and then to Joyce.

"This is a Healing Farm so I will heal you."

He took her arm.

He started to take her pulse.

"That's not good," he look at me and laughed.

"Your stomach is very nervous. Let me help you."

He tried to massage her shoulders but Joyce shrugged him away.

"I'm fine."

"Not, your not. Your stomach is very nervous."

We did an hour of meditating.

"How does it feel now, " he asked.

He talked about reincarnation as people descending into animals.

But it wasn't until talking much later that he was talking about the possibility.

He told me about his beliefs in reincarnation.

"In the universe people souls are at different levels. The animal If we want to go onto the next level we need to prepare yourself. People are at the highest level. We can not ask the pig to be fair or treat each other nicely."

I reacted to this explanation.

"I like your enthusiasm and your passion for this topic. What I struggle with is that I don't think people are better than animals. I believe that a bear loves her babies and that a dog loves her babies. I think with this thinking religious have put man on top and with this people think they can treat animals differently.:

Y explained, "The animals paths and the human path are different and there is some unfairness to both," he said humbly. "Whether or not you believe in reincarnation is not important. What I want to offer is the possibility."

He paused.

"Many Wwoofers at first don't understand what I am talking about but later they understand me."

Slowly, I was thinking about it and talking. It may sense to me later in the week.
