Wednesday

We didn't do welding. Instead we did a lot of work weeding the rest of the fields. I later found out why, "It's late in the season for spraying the organic pesticide to protect from disease...."

We ate at a restaurant in Hagwi that we always go to because I think they think its the best in town. Y asked suggested I try the squid muhl hwe instead of the fish muhl hwe so I could try something different.

After lunch, Y said. "It's hot today so we will do an hour of meditation."

And we did. We did three hours of meditation and then we talked for some hours about his philosophy.

"I believe that you must keep a positive frame of mind throughout the world in order to protect your seoul from destruction."

"In my own situation I live in the city and it's very hard to compost and live. It's soo difficult sometimes. Soo difficult."

We then went back to the fields. Joyce, Ju Hee and I weeded. When we stopped, I was exausted. My mind was cloudy and I was soo tired. Yang then invited me to run at the track with him in Jeju for the Marathon club. Okay why not I said.

We went back to the house to change. I looked at the sorry state of my trainers. One foot as slip at the body and part of my foot touched the ground. They were beat up when I got here and the farm had broken them finally.

"I will need new to buy new shoes here,"

"A friend of mine runs a recycling center. There are so many new shoes there. We will have a look."

We ran laps together. I started running barefoot- bad idea- until the pain got bad and I stopped to switch to my shoes.

"I'm bleeding," pointing to to my three toes on the inside of my big toe on each foot."

We continued then we broke to stretch with the running group. We stretched and then they fed us rice cakes. I ate much more than I needed after being given rice cake after rice cake by people.

I still don't know how to polite decline food and still have them respect it without getting their feelings hurt.

I was full by then but then we had dinner and in the confusion I was lost in translation and someone ordered my kal guk su which I don't particulary wanted. I am not a big fan of noodles. Joyce couldn't finish her food so I ate it and ate

Anyway I felt way too full but it didn't effect my meditation at least.

We went from the restaurant to Jeju Microbrewery to try Jeju beer.

We tried the pale beer and the wheat beer. They were good. They had low carbination. I'm not a fan of pale lager. I prefered the wheat beer.

Heejern was very interested in how I make beer. I told him I don't make beer here because I can't get organic barley or hops. I can get those things he promised.

I told him about herbal beers and the history of hops something which I am found of.

We went home. Too tired for meditation I went to bed.
