Wednesday:

It was a long day for reasons that one thing led to another and time is easy to lose when your day is orientated in tasks. 

We did a lot of weeding. We ate lunch under a tree. Lunch consisted of sticky corn and fruit. 

We stopped the On the way we stopped at fisherman friends of hers. They said the water was too high to get crabs so they gave us snorkles and we dove for snails. J can't swim well so she just wadded. The water was clean and th there were many along the rocks. It was so good and I can't really find words to describe how great it was and felt. 

The day was long and we ate dinner at 10pm. So late that I asked if we could skip meditation and just do gumdo. She agreed and we did that. 

Good news about Doddori. I saw his eye and its almost healed. The swelling has gone down a lot.

Today, I was a little off. I overslept because my day was so long yesterday but I quickly got back into it.

Breakfast was a tribute to J of Culinary Linguist. It was soft boiled eggs and rice. With it we ate snails. The broth I made for the snails, gatkimchi and purslain banchain.

J and I continued weeding for a an hour in the morning until Y asked me to help him with one of his side jobs. As a farmer, Y has time for other jobs so a friend of his asked him to install a driveway.


So thats what we started. I help him make a frame for the concrete.]He had me bang in nails and when I missed some nail he said, "Your mind is not straight." This only wanted me to try harder.


When finished we picked up Y went to lunch at a restaurant with the artist that lives in a shack on the tangerine farm. Then I joined J for weeding until Y took me again an hour later to finish the job. The job took some hours to do and I noticed how many houses were really nice and had farms as well. All the farmers are good with their hands and have built really nice houses.

Y showed me a funny video of people people dancing in a station. It's called a flash mob. A word I didn't know they had for stunts in which people sing or dance in public places.

His friends and I drank makeolli and ate raw fish dishes at the only restaurant we seem to go to. It's really good so I understand why.

It was really good day to work with my hands. Something that I am enjoying more.

News: A new wwoofer is coming Saturday from Malaysia. I've never met a Malaysian before so it's going to be exciting. She is around my age on vacation. She'll be here for a week.
