After breakfast and cleaning up Y took us in his truck to pick up a pig. A big male big. The place we picked up the pig there was a muscular and bulky Korean man with curled ears. There was scrap metal all around. Dogs were barking in cages.

But I didn’t know we were getting a pig. We got to a cage. And Heejern pointed to a 500 pound male big and said we will take him. Then he’s getting a noose around the pigs neck and I am pulling the thing.

“Pull him.”

We pulled. The thing yanked and struggled with the noose around his neck. Me in front of it. The thing charged forward to me. I fell back on the flatbed of the truck. It was a good time to laugh at the danger of all this.

Ropes tied agains the truck and three men, myself included pulling we got the pig lashed to the truck.

We then visited an ecohouse. It consisted of earth and logs stacked. Unlike a log cabin, short logs stuck into a frame. The house was small and spacious because of the round rooms. Heejern and Ju Hee talked to the woman who built the place with her husband. She didn’t work. I assume he was at work. His job is an extractor which makes sense for how well it can be used.

She gave us Maesil, a tea made from plums. I noticed the inhaler that I used to use when I had asthma. The space was warm and cozy. Hammocks were hanging outside.

We came back. A a school friend of Heejern cooked lunch for us which was a cold soup of cucumber which we ate with vegetables from the garden. While sitting outside, Heejern talked about his dream to build an eco house for the next mulme house.

"I want to build an eco-house." 

"When?"

"Maybe in the next year. Many people in the Jeju government want to let people know about the organic situation in Jeju. Many don't now. So they want to invest in the organic farm. They are interested in this farm and they like it. However, it is small. They want something bigger. A decision will be made sometime next week. "

"What would you do will you do with the money?"

"I will expand this farm. I can buy my friends farm on the left. Because his farm is not connected to the road I can buy the land for cheap. If people want to eat meat, I can give that too them. I am happy to get people eating organic vegetables, but if people want meat that I can give that them."

"But the Jeju-government will need me to pay 30,000? They will pay 80,000, and I will 30,000. But I don't have 30,000 won.

"What if you got people to invest in you?"

"Who," he laughed. "No one wants to invest in this farm."

I do but I didn't think it was appropriate or even a well though out decision to just say that. But I really want to help this guy become successful to do the good thing. 

We went back to the farm and we finished the weeding. Assah!
