Flame retardants off-gas. Studies have shown that they cause cancer. However, many blankets and pajamas contain them.
We will spend one third of our lives sleeping. For me, I want to avoid the use of harmful substances on my body. Thankfully, a friend told me about Pendleton. Pendleton is a very reputable company where you can buy blankets without flame retardants.
Because of lack of funds I can not replace every blanket I have at once, so I want to at least have the blanket in contact with my skin to have no flame retardents.
They have many Native American style blankets. If you dig that as I do, then you will be pleased by their selection.
However, I chose a more conventional "camp blanket" to reduce my costs. That doesn't mean that I wouldn't pay a little more money to get a quality product. But I am willing to sometimes sacrifice style to get what I need.
