Traditional Eats Tour Jeollabukdo

I'm going to be doing a lot of wind sprints this weekend and next week because I'm going on a food tour and I will be eating a lot of much food this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to promote Korean traditional food for Hansik.org.

I picked Jeollambukdo because the area is famous for local cuisine and its many restaurants.

If I'm not making I'll be pulling vegetables out of the ground, or making banchan or makeoli or kimchi.

4 other teams are in competition and have or will travel to other areas of the country to blog and tweet for  a cash prize. It will also be filmed for a KBS TV documentary.

I applied for the opportunity to experience truly great traditional food of Korea and to represent what I think is a great example of traditional food that is tasty and healthy.

A good friend of mine and some other people have joined me to explore Korean food. All of us care about local and sustainable eating. I named us Happy Bear for the fact that I really like bears and I think happy is the positive feeling I want to have throughout the journey.

With a lot of help from Mike, my translator Ziyeon, Yang Hejern from Mulme Healing Farm, and the production team and all their great help, a schedule has been put together to tell a story of food to growing it, making eat and eating it. I made sure that everything possible we could do has been squeezed into the schedule.

Thank you Hansik and everyone.
