Fire Seeds

In ancestral Korea, many Korean's did not have matches. Every Korean village had a firebank where coals were kept smoldering. If a villager wanted to start a fire they went to the bank to collect a coal to start their fire. These were called fireseeds. It's a respectful name for something so precious to the people.
