Quick and Dirty DIY Sandbag Fitness

It's been a fight this winter to keep the S.AD. away. Exercise helped my body to release serotonin in my body and fight off the stress and body weight exercises have helped to keep my metabolism burning. Though body weight exercises such as squats, pushups, planks, handstands certainly do well, you can not ever push your body to max to get an explosive workout. As a man, I feel lifting is important for our health and has been natural for our sect of humanhood to build our homes, carry our clothes and live a nomadic life. With the excess energy we get in form of our nutrition, I see a lot of man boobs these days with the deterioration of musculature for simply lack of use and/or the accumulation of fat.

So trying to find a more natural way workout I've been reintroduced to sandbag fitness. We all know about sandbags being used to stop flooding and some might know that specially designed bags are used for training. Sandbags are a way to incorporate balance and a great way to either body build or burn fat in the form of a cardio bag.

But there are only a few companys that make sandbags and weight and as to be expected they can cost from 60 to over a 100 US dollars to get the shell and the weights. Because I'm going home and there are more important things for my money to go towards, I've decided to do it myself.

The Sand bag in the picture below made from two laundry bags, one filled with sand and put inside the other and tied up with ropes.  It was easy to make with very little effort and you can do it to take a step to better health.
